Know What's Happening Around You. Before You Walk Into It.

4Warning is a community safety app. People nearby report what they see — theft, hazards, trouble — so you know before you reach it.

About Image

The idea is simple

Feature Icon 1

Someone is ahead

On your route, minutes before you reach it, somebody has already seen what you are walking into.

Feature Icon 2

It costs them seconds

A few taps to post a warning. Nothing to gain, no followers needed — it just helps whoever is behind.

Feature Icon 3

People, not feeds

Warnings come from users who are actually there, not a newsfeed hours behind the event.

Feature Icon 4

Free to use

No subscription and no tiers. Download it and you are part of the community.

How it works

From something you spotted to somebody else avoiding it.

Five steps. No sign-up wall, no waiting for the news to catch up — just people telling the people behind them what is ahead.

01

See it

A user sees something others should know about. A phone snatcher working a junction, a car being broken into, a hazard in the road — the kind of thing that stops with you unless there is a simple way to pass it on.

02

Share it

Create a warning through 4Warning. Choose what you saw and where it happened. It takes seconds, and you do not need followers or a long description for it to be useful to somebody walking that way.

03

Warn people nearby

The warning becomes available to relevant users nearby. Not broadcast to the whole country and not buried in a feed — it goes to the people whose route is about to take them past the thing you just reported.

04

Your bubble moves

Your half-mile radius moves with your current location. Walk, drive or cycle and the circle travels with you, so what counts as relevant keeps updating against where you actually are right now.

05

Receive an alert

When you move within approximately half a mile of a relevant warning, 4Warning may alert you. Before you reach it, while there is still time to change direction, avoid the area, or simply be more aware.

Why 4Warning

Information can travel around the globe in seconds, yet we can still be unaware of something happening a few streets away.

News and social media were never built to tell you what is happening on the road you are about to walk down. 4Warning is.

People warning people.

Community awareness helps people make better decisions about what is around them — whether that means changing direction, avoiding an area, or simply paying more attention. These are the kinds of things users report.

Phone snatching

Riders working a junction, taking phones from hands as people pass.

Pickpockets

Crowded stops and platforms where bags are being worked.

Car theft

Vehicles being taken or tried, street by street.

Bike theft

Locks cut in daylight, often in the same few spots.

Dangerous persons

Someone behaving in a way other people should know about.

Street disturbances

A fight or a crowd it would be better to walk around.

Burglary

Break-ins happening now, not in a report next month.

Traffic incidents

Collisions and closures before you join the queue.

Missing persons

More eyes on the streets where it matters most.

Road hazards

Flooding, debris, a lost load, a hole in the road.

SEE IT. SHARE IT. AVOID IT.

Free on iPhone and Android. Take a few seconds to warn the people behind you.

What a Warning Looks Like

Examples of the kind of alert 4Warning delivers. Real warnings come from users near you, in the moment.

Warning Example 1

Two riders working the pavement near the station entrance, taking phones out of people's hands as they pass. Keep yours out of sight until you are through the underpass and back onto the main road.

Phone snatcher — moped

Reported 2 minutes ago · 0.3 miles
Warning Example 2

Three cars on the upper deck with their windows gone in the last hour. If you are parking here tonight, take everything off the seats — they are going for bags and anything left in plain view.

Car break-ins — retail car park

Reported 14 minutes ago · 0.4 miles
Warning Example 3

Water right across both lanes and the pavement is flooded on the eastbound side. Traffic is already backing up past the lights, so it is worth going round if you have another way through.

Road blocked — burst water main

Reported 31 minutes ago · 0.2 miles
